Steps for the Activity

  1. First things first, here's our etherpad that we used at the NWP Annual Meeting for Make.Hack. Play. We will use it to stay connected, catalog links and share work. Also, if anyone has questions that don't benefit the whole group, I invited them to ask them here, so I could be sure to answer them later! This workshop is designed to be:

    • Participatory: Engaging and activating participants from the beginning and getting them making and doing, rather than listening and watching.
    • Purposeful: Working toward meaningful goals.
    • Productive: Well-planned so that concrete outcomes are achieved in the allotted time, and participants feel time was well spent.
  2. We'll start by introducing ourselves.

    • Say your name
    • Say I'm from...
    • Say I chose this session because...(one short sentence!)
  3. Persona and the Badge Backback

Use your own Persona* OR use one you set up for the group

*Set up Persona and your Badge Backpack, if you haven't already.

For my workshop, I set up teachtheweb[at]gmail.com and gave participants the password.

Discussion

Why are we all here? What interested us about the session? Who are we as a community?
